SUMMER & AUTUMN AT GAUSTA SPORTELL

During the summer season, Gausta Sportell is an ideal base for mountain adventures, with easy access to Gaustabanen, Gaustatoppen, and a wide range of hiking and cycling trails.
The hotel offers standard double rooms, as well as family rooms and apartments with kitchen facilities, providing great flexibility for families and guests who prefer to prepare their own meals during their stay.
During the high season, from late June to mid-August, the hotel’s bar and light dining service are open. Outside this period, no food service is available at the hotel.
At Bakeriet, you can purchase freshly baked bread, pastries, and sandwiches throughout the summer season. The nearest grocery store, Pose & Sekk, is located approximately 3 kilometres from the hotel.
For a full restaurant experience, Gaustablikk Fjellresort is only a few minutes away by car. Advance table reservations are recommended. It is also possible to purchase breakfast on a drop-in basis, subject to availability. Please contact the reception at Gaustablikk Fjellresort in advance.
WINTER AT GAUSTA SPORTELL

When winter arrives, Gausta Sportell transforms into the perfect base for a ski holiday, with close access to everything the mountain has to offer. The hotel is located just 50 metres from the nearest ski lift, and several rooms overlook the ski slopes and terrain park.
Ski lockers for convenient storage of skis and equipment are located directly across the road from the hotel.
Throughout the winter season, the Gausta Express – our complimentary shuttle service – operates between Gausta Sportell, Gaustablikk Fjellresort, and Gaustabanen.
All winter stays include breakfast and dinner, both served in the hotel’s restaurant on the ground floor. In the afternoons and evenings, the bar becomes a natural gathering place where guests can enjoy a drink or challenge friends and family to a game of shuffleboard or darts.
During the winter season, the hotel is also staffed in the evenings.
