The magic of nature
25 June 2021 - 15 August 2021
Go with your family on a memorable hike in the mountains - stay in a pleasant family room for 2 nights (Monday - Wednesday) including breakfast and lunch excursion.
Take the family on a short break to Gausta and stay 2 nights (Monday - Wednesday) in our pleasant family rooms (superior double room with double bed + sofa bed / extra bed) at Gaustablikk Høyfjellshotell. Wake up to a delicious breakfast buffet and join the lunch excursion with one of Gausta's guides to Telemarkshytta.
Lunch excursion to BBQ-hut
On the day after arrival, there will be lunch outdoors. You will hike to your destination for lunch - a barbecue hut on the green route "Telemarkssvingen" at Gausta Ski Center. The barbecue hut is strategically located with fantastic views of Gaustatoppen and Rjukan. We get first-class, home-made food from the chefs at Gaustablikk Høyfjellshotell, that will be prepared by our guides over an open fire in the hut. Surrounded by delicious aromas from the grill, engaging company and beautiful surroundings, the food will taste delicious! This trip requires you to be of average fitness. We recommend that the children are at least 9 years or younger if the parents believe their child will be comfortable walking on this trip. Enjoy your lunch!
You will stay in a pleasant superior double room at Gaustablikk Høyfjellshotell - a room with a double bed and a sofa bed. Enjoy breakfast in the hotel restaurant with free use of the wellness area with a swimming pool, jacuzzi, saunas, steam bath, relaxation area and outdoor sun deck.
Our recommendation: Get competitive and challenge the family for a round or two on our shuffleboard. The social and fun game where precision, and a little luck, can be crucial to the winner. There are two shuffleboards in the hotel bar. Book a time at reception and refer to this package to receive a discount.
We point out that several corona measures have been introduced at the destination. Please familiarize yourself with these so that we can maintain a safe environment and limit spreading of the virus. Read about the measures here
